Fixed, not removable
The prosthesis is secured to your implants and doesn't come in and out like a denture.
Restorative care
Losing most or all of your teeth changes more than your smile. It affects how you eat, speak, and feel about yourself, and it changes the shape of your jaw over time. The All-on-4 Treatment Concept replaces a full arch of missing teeth with a fixed prosthesis anchored to four implants.
The basics
Historically, replacing a full arch of missing teeth meant placing 6 to 8 implants to support an arch of prosthetic bridgework, and bone loss could make some patients ineligible.
The All-on-4 Treatment Concept, developed by Dr. Paulo Maló in the early 1990s, replaces an entire arch, or both arches, of missing teeth using four strategically placed implants instead. A provisional restoration can be placed the same day as the implants, so you don't go without teeth during healing.
After several months of healing, the provisional is replaced with a long-term restoration made of titanium and acrylic or a tooth-colored material called zirconia.
Why it works
