|It is really important that you figure out an oral hygiene routine that works for you and keeps your teeth clean and healthy. However, it also needs to include regular visits to our office.
We do a lot of things during those visits. One of the most important aspects of those regular visits is the fact that we look for signs of problems in their earliest stages. The earlier we have the ability to catch a problem, the easier it is to fix.
What You Get from Biannual Dental Visits
When you come in and visit us every six months, you get a lot of benefits. First, you get really clean teeth from those appointments. They feel good and you often feel more confident showing them off when they are freshly clean. Second, you get an idea of the overall condition of your mouth.
This helps you know if there are any parts of your mouth that need special attention or better cleaning. Third, you get any little issues fixed while they are still little.
It is far easier and faster for us to fill a tiny cavity than it is for us to wait and fill a cavity that requires a crown because it is so large. Plus, it is less uncomfortable for you.
Coming in and seeing us every six months is very important. You need to make these visits as important as your annual physical from your doctor.
What your physician is to your overall health, we are to your oral health, and with poor oral health, your physical health will begin to decline as well. Come in and see us if it is six months or longer since your last visit. Let us do a cleaning and exam to see what state your oral health is currently in.
