|Brushing your teeth is something that has to be done every day, twice a day and sometimes people enjoy brushing more than that.
When it comes to when to brush though, many people might not know when the best time is. Sometimes you are told to wait until after you eat to brush, but why is this?
Why Wait Until After You Eat to Brush
If you are wondering why you have to wait until after you eat to brush, then you want answers. Sometimes people want to brush their teeth as soon as they get up in the morning because they have bad breath, their mouth is dry and they just want that clean feeling that you can get when you brush, especially right after waking up.
However, if you brush right after you wake up and then go and eat breakfast, all of that sugar, plaque and other build up is going to sit on the outside of your teeth and eat away at the enamel.
This is not what anyone wants when they are trying to reduce the amount of plaque, buildup and other problems that cause tooth decay. You do not have to worry about this when you brush after you eat, not before.
The same goes for night time. Have your snack time and then brush before bed to reduce the amount of bacteria that is found inside the mouth before you sleep.
